CUSP's latest In-Car Entertainment and Information Platform has been awarded the prestigious 2026 UX Design Award in the Automotive Interface category, recognizing the platform's groundbreaking approach to driver-centric user experience design.
The award jury, composed of leading designers and human-computer interaction researchers, specifically praised the platform's voice-first interaction model, which enables drivers to control navigation, media, climate, and vehicle settings without diverting attention from the road. Independent testing showed the system reduces driver distraction by 60% compared to traditional touchscreen interfaces.
"What impressed the jury most was how CUSP has created a unified experience that feels cohesive rather than a collection of separate features," noted the award citation. "The seamless integration of navigation guidance with media controls, the contextual awareness that anticipates driver needs, and the elegant visual hierarchy all represent a new standard for automotive UX."
The platform introduces several innovations including predictive content surfacing that learns driver preferences and automatically presents relevant information at the right moments; a unified command interface that accepts natural language instructions across all vehicle functions; and adaptive display layouts that optimize information presentation based on driving context.
Design highlights include a minimalist aesthetic with high-contrast typography optimized for at-a-glance readability, ambient lighting integration that subtly communicates system status, and haptic feedback that provides confirmation without requiring visual attention.
The award-winning platform is currently shipping in production vehicles from two major OEMs and will be available in seven additional vehicle models by the end of 2026.
