CUSP Partners with Leading EV Manufacturer for Global Navigation Deployment
Robert Kim
Head of Strategic Partnerships
CUSP has entered into a strategic multi-year partnership with one of the world's leading electric vehicle manufacturers to provide comprehensive navigation and connected services across all new EV models, marking one of the largest single deployment agreements in the company's history.
The agreement encompasses integration of CUSP's HD Map Engine, real-time traffic and routing services, charging station location and availability data, and energy consumption prediction algorithms optimized specifically for electric vehicle characteristics. The partnership targets deployment across 40 global markets by the end of 2027.
"This partnership represents the convergence of three transformative trends: electric mobility, connected services, and intelligent navigation," said Robert Kim, Head of Strategic Partnerships at CUSP. "Our technology will help millions of EV drivers overcome range anxiety, optimize charging stops, and discover the most energy-efficient routes."
A key innovation in the deployment is CUSP's EV-optimized routing engine, which factors in real-time battery state-of-charge, terrain elevation, weather conditions, and driver behavior patterns to predict range with 97% accuracy. The system proactively recommends charging stops based on real-time charger availability and integrates payment processing for seamless charging experiences.
The agreement includes a shared data model that will enable continuous improvement of both companies' products. Vehicle data will inform map accuracy and routing algorithms, while CUSP's services will enhance the overall ownership experience for EV customers.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but industry analysts estimate the contract value at approximately $420 million over its five-year term, with potential for extension as the partnership expands to additional vehicle segments.
